Part of Ellen Cheever’s career has focused on new product development for upscale custom cabinet companies. She has presented product-specific programing introducing new offerings for major cabinet manufacturers in the kitchen and bath industry over the past 30 years. Her work has extended into designing exhibit spaces for cabinet companies as well.

Professional Highlights:

St. Charles Cabinetry, Training Consultant 1978-1985. Marketing Manager 1987-1989.  Brand Manager, 1997-2000

After serving as a training consultant for the St. Charles Manufacturing Company from 1978 to 1985, Ellen joined the company as the marketing manager when the company was based in Denver, CO.  Following the acquisition of the St. Charles brand by a new owner in the late 90s, Ellen worked with the company's parent management team to establish and implement a business plan for the re-launch of the brand. The plan encompassed product redesign, pricing strategy, distribution network and marketing.

Heritage Custom Kitchens Vice President, Business/Dealer Development, 1992-1999.

Ellen joined the company in 1992 as part of a new management and investment team. Working directly with the CEO, Ellen developed a strategic business plan to increase the company’s sales through increased unit sales per dealership. By enhancing the product design, individual unit value was also increased. She created materials and programs for a three-tiered dealer/designer training program that focused on improving cabinet line knowledge, focusing selling skills on the high-end consumer, and improving aesthetic and ergonomic design talents.

Ellen contributed to the marketing efforts of the Rutt’s management team with a focus on new product offerings while serving as a design consultant.  The new product and sales aids were launched at a private showing and were enthusiastically received by the attending dealers and designers.
